Deputy Minister Yi Xiaozhun met with Thelma Askey, Deputy Secretary-General of OECD, and his party in Beijing on March 2. The two sides exchanged views on such issues as cooperation between China and OECD, financial crisis, "enhancing contact", and category of country risk.
China and OECD commenced dialogue on policy issues in 1995. In a period of well-over ten years, the dialogue covered sectors of macro-economy, finance and taxation, agriculture, science and technology, education, trade and investment, environmental protection, and statistics, and in diversified forms. It gained remarkable achievements.
